In Any Language
This blog has been originally intended to host my impressions on learning languages, my interest. But I might as well make use of it to communicate my other thoughts...in any language...that I know now :)

christmas bazaars
I started buying Christmas gifts today. I waited until today
because I wanted to buy my gifts at the 41st International Bazaar at
the PICC Forums this day. The entrance ticket was 100 pesos each and
children below 7 years old were not allowed.
It was fortunate that my mother, Tita Del and I decided to
come earlier. There were so many buyers that by noon, many of the
items were sold out. Among such items was Spain's Boleo chocolates.
When I returned to Spain's booth after lunch, there wasn't a single
box left.
Unfortunately, the items that I'd like to give were
expensive. Instead of gifts, I ended up buying things for myself :)
From PICC, we proceeded to the World Trade Center where there
was also a Noel Bazaar. The entrance fee was 50 pesos each.
I was glad to find a stainless scissor at a booth from Albay.
When I last looked for one in SM Centerpoint, I was told by the
saleslady that they no longer carry such product because its sale was
slow. No wonder in that because such scissors run for generations.
It only needs sharpening from time to time (which can be done in any
HBC outlet) and it doesn't easily break like new brands with plastic
handles.
Summit Media was also selling back issues of its publications
for 3 for 100 pesos. I got some Good Housekeeping issues. In the
outlets of SM and Booksale, GH back issues cost 50 nowadays.
We combed each aisle in PICC and WTC, trying to find good
bargains. Now, my back and legs hurt from all the walking, my purse
is a lot lighter but I'm happier. I found what I came for.

whirlwind
Today is one of my most productive day, I believe.
I managed to finally drop at Banco de Oro after 6 months, pay my
credit card bill, buy some beauty products which I forgot to buy two
weeks ago, consulted my OB-gyne, which should have been last week,
bought more Christmas decors after two weeks and drop by Quiapo
Church. All in 4 hours, including my travel time.

Attitude
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in
the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well,"
she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she had a
wonderful day. The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and
saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I
think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did and she had
a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm
going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun,
fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I
don't have to fix my hair today!"
Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting
some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......
Leave the rest to God
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.

If you are a Christian, Live Carefully
Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a
church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an
occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he
sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a
quarter too much change.
As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, "You'd better give
the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it." Then he thought, "Oh,
forget it, it's only a quarter.
Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets
too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a gift from God
and keep quiet."
When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed
the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much
change."
The driver, with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in
town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to
worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much
change.. I'll see you at church on Sunday."
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the
nearest light pole, held on, and said, "Oh God, I almost sold your Son
for a quarter."
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a
really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and
will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You
carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself
"Christian."
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny .
If you don't pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen; if you
do, you will have ministered to someone.
The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not
PROTECT you...
Stay FAITHFUL and Be GRATEFUL...
